UPS Delivery service has became a experience that I won't forget if it is ever resolved and if my package is ever delivered.
Here is my story:
My package was due to be delivered on 30/04/2015 but this never happened and there excuse it was an internal error that had caused the delay which at the time I understood and accepted that they would deliver on 01/05/2015.
So 01/05/2015 came and again this didn't happen which was unacceptable. I spoke to two advisors on 01/05/2015 who once again stated we apolgise for the inconvenience as another internal error has happen and couldn't explain why.
My view is that one internal error can happen but two internal errors in such a short time is disgraceful for a company the size of UPS who deliver all around the world and shows lack of care they have for their customers.
So I speak to another advisor who states the delivery will now happen on 02/05/2015. I figured 3rd time lucky right?......
Nope they failed to deliver it again on 02/05/2015, at this point in time my frustration was starting to boil over so I spoke to 4 advisor's who told me that delivery will happen today and it has been loaded on the van.
Ups van turned up to my apartments and I figured finally they have delivered. I go to driver and ask for my package and guess what?.....
He doesn't have my package and was delivering to somebody else today and states he is only van going through that area today and couldn't even look at me and didn't seem to care.
After he left I literally had steam coming out of ears questioning how is this possible that they can make so many mistakes in 3 days. I decided to call the customer service again which I spoke to another 2 advisors who state 'your delivery is coming today and there is more than one van coming through that area'.
At this point I was very confused because the driver states he is only one coming through my area yet the advisor's state there be another van coming through there. I started to wondered if they even communicate in the organisation. Communication is key to any company as this cuts out mistakes on any level of a company.
So I waited and no second driver and have to ring them again to ask what is going on and the response I got from customer service and I will quote 'The delivery is now set for Tuesday delivery and hasn't been loaded on the van'. Wait wait...didn't the advisors just tell me that it was loaded onto the van and will be with me today
At this point I didn't know what else to say but that dozen advisors have lied to me and given me false information and said sorry there is nothing we can do about it. I decided to talk to their twitter response team who were also confused and told me tracking states destination scan and the twitter team stated this:
@BoxFridge When a package gets a Destination Scan before 10AM, means that it will go out for delivery that day ^CN
UPS aren't the best delivery company in my review and need to seriously look at some of their procedures that will stop mistakes like these happening on a daily basis as a business person I see that damaging for any company.
